uni stealing is never on the same level as oc / character stealing people put thought and love into creating cosplays for characters they like or ocs they have / making a new oc to use . while , yes , unis ARE made with love and care , if its for a regiment or RP that has a lot of people using those unis already ... is it THAT bad ?? there ' s a fine line between creativity ( oc / cosplay creation ) and making something just to give it out to a selected few people ( regiments / certain rps ) . while regiments CAN be creative with uni designs , multiple people will start using those designs anyway and overtime it becomes less creative as you begin to see it more and more . same with tutorial skins or anything on youtube and the likes that has something to do with helping you make a pony . it was creative at first , but now since a lot of people use those skins or that idea , its just .. not that creative anymore ( don ' t get me wrong , i think tutorials for certain things are great and they can help new players grow and achieve their style ; however it does get to a point where everyone has the same coloring or same shading style or same tinting style . ) people will copy anyway , and while it is extremely insufferable and annoying to deal with ( a friend of mine got DOXXED and had 40+ of their skins copied because someone wanted their style ) it ' s not going to stop anytime soon , especially with the CopyTown bots roaming around nowadays . on the topic of inspiration , it ' s okay if the owner of the pony agrees to it , but , speaking from experience , people will ALSO take that too far and attempt to become you . which is why im so iffy on it ( yes i was impersonated before ) . the same goes for copying . thats my thoughts on it again uni stealing is NOT and will never be on the same level as oc / character stealing

yeah 100% lol. Yes the sprites belong to ponytown but the OC design belongs to whoever makes it. It’s the same way people who use F2U bases can still have their OC copied/stolen. Making a skin is the same thing. Just because it’s a colored base doesn’t mean it can’t be copied. The only exception is if that persons skin is really basic and multiple other people have similarly designed characters.

Here's my take : People stealing skins are wrong , yes , I agree on that . I do also understand that it's just game assets recoloured to your liking , but doxxing , threatening and actually telling them to off themselves is also wrong . It's horrible . Both sides don't really get anywhere and this is where I say just leave them be . You don't need to give them attention . What you can do is when you see someone with your skin or uniform and they genuinely did not know GENTLY explain it to them . When people made announcements and said don't dox them I knew , actually , they were going to get doxxed because some people don't think twice about how they're affecting eachother . So let's be respectful over eachother and don't tell eachother to do these things because it's foul

People steal skins always for their own amusement, or in some cases, they're just actual idiots who don't know jackshit on what they're doing . Most of the time though, its for their own amusements . I mean sure, its wrong, theres no arguing that . Thats like stealing someone's artwork—just in a pixel game . Stupid, right ? However, heres more to what I can say, people who will be all fussy about their skins being stolen, going outrage and everything—they're just as stupid as those who do steal . Sure, I can't lie when I say I've gotten upset on this before, countless of times, but if you're someone like me who has witnessed their skins / unis being stolen a bunch of times now, skin stealing isn't a new news to you eventually . It'll hit on you like another tuesday—basically going numb . Because, reality check here, ITS ALL . A . PIXEL . PONY . GAME . Theres no point in going ballistic over it, geez, you got robbed or something ?
